Simple, Elegant and Unique Ways To Make Your Wedding Day Go Bang
By Annie Molenaar
We are always on the lookout for ways to inspire our readers, so when this dark and dreamy styled shoot hit our inbox we couldn’t wait to show you. The bouquet alone was enough to send us into a spin.
We asked Bree from Little White Couture, who orchestrated this visual feast for the eyes, to tell us how it all came about, and what inspired her. Here’s what she told us...
We based this shoot on a gorgeous black crystal crown we had and wanted to create something unique and bold by incorporating hand painted leather jackets and of course the dress in a burnt orange.
Set at the Ovolo Incolm in their private dining room which featured unique art work and a stunning long dark dining table perfect for an intimate gathering.
The focus was based on the unique bride looking for a point of difference. We then enlisted the help from Husk and Vine who creates pieces from foraged and found elements from mother nature who created a treasured bouquet made entirely of pieces found in mother nature’s landscape. If you look closely at the bouquet you will see gorgeous flowers made of feathers, and even tiny quail eggs.
We loved that the Ovolo had lots of unique areas and moody corners to capture the romantic quiet moments.
It was all other unique elements you will find throughout the shoot that really bought it together like the gold detailing on the bride’s shoulders, hand calligraphy place names and menu, the Harley Davidson and hand made crystals featured on the cake.
Terri Hanlon captured not only the romantic moodiness of this shoot but the masculinity that is sometimes not seen. A perfectly tailored suit by Black jacket suiting with cigar and whiskey in hand really showed that a wedding can be both feminine and masculine.
