MEG + TIM'S CREEKSIDE ELOPEMENT
Friday 13th and lucky in love.
On a balmy spring afternoon, Tim and Meg, two lovers from Melbourne locked down their love by the serene creek bed at their local, Lerderderg State Park.
The thought of a big wedding made these lovers want to vomit in their mouths a little bit. Meg and Tim, both tattooers and throttle enthusiasts, knew from the get-go that if they were going to get on that matrimony train at all, they'd be injecting their nups with their own off-beat flair.
Meg was the one who did the proposing and they locked in their date with Jac the Hitcher immediately - Friday the 13th, lucky for some.
They didn't need a ceremony with the chrome and accessories so they stripped everything back to the bones; all they needed was each other, their closest friends and family, a short, sweet but warm ceremony and Em Jensen to capture it all.
Every tiny detail was so effortlessly cool, just how they roll;
Tim rode in on his shovelhead donning his fanciest white "wedding denim", Meg had found the perfect vintage 70s dress that looked bloody adorbs draped over her growing pregnant belly and both were rocking matching wedding hats. Total western biker sweethearts.
The guests were lead down to the bank by Jac with Charley Crockett wailing, then they sprawled themselves out on picnic blankets, sipped on bubbles and watched Meg and Tim tie-the-knot with an itty bitty but sweet-as-hell ceremony.
Afterwards, Tim threw his ride-or-die baby mama on the back of his chopper where they signed their certificates to make it offish and fed each other melted ice cream cake they weren't quite quick enough for... simple as that. Just Hitched, Bitch.
Meg and Tim with Em Jensen share a mutual love of vintage-style photography so it was an obvious choice to have Em shoot the day exclusively on film, Polaroid and Super8. The outcome was a total fucking daydream.
